Logan County approves SiteWise gas-main work after fair; County Road 39 to narrow

Logan County commissioners conditionally approved SiteWise’s permit Tuesday to install three anodes on a gas main near three County Road 39 properties. Work is to begin after the county fair, with the meeting discussion placing it in the second week of August. The project will narrow the road to one lane while crews work.
The affected properties are 14730 County Road 39, 14704 County Road 39 and 14572 County Road 39, the county’s July 21 agenda says. The permit calls for potholing at each address before installing an anode on the gas main.
Commissioners moved the work until after the fair because of its potential effect on fair-period traffic. They also cited issues with the original paperwork and a proposed July 31 completion deadline, the commissioners’ meeting record shows.
