Fort Morgan City Council unanimously approved a 6% cut to the supply-side portion of the city’s natural-gas rate on Oct. 6, during its meeting.
City staff estimated the reduction would save residential customers about $6 to $8.15 per month from December through February, with smaller savings in summer.
The city has not specified when the rate change will take effect or which billing period will first reflect it.
