Burlington council approves returning 33 acres donated for ballpark
The land’s donor requested it back after funding for the proposed ballpark did not come together; the city attorney said he would prepare a deed.

Burlington City Council unanimously approved transferring 33 acres back to Barry Hinkhouse on Sept. 14. Hinkhouse donated the land about five years ago for a proposed ballpark, the council’s minutes say.
Hinkhouse asked for the land back so it could be used for another opportunity. City Attorney Grinnan said funding for the ballpark did not come together and that he would prepare a deed for the transfer.
