Logan County approves fiber permit near Pioneer facility, delays fair contract vote
Commissioners approved a Viro Fiber right-of-way permit near the Pioneer Distribution Facility, granted a utility easement at the fairgrounds and postponed a fair talent-buyer agreement to July 7.

Logan County commissioners on June 30 approved a right-of-way permit for Viro Fiber Network LLC to install underground conduit along County Road 33 and County Road 31.5 near the Pioneer Distribution Facility.
According to the business meeting recording, the work will run from an existing Viro handhold near the alley serving the facility, east along the alley to County Road 33 and then south along County Road 33 to the north right-of-way line of Highway 14. Commissioners said the project would include trenching across the alley and boring under most of the county road, with completion requested by Oct. 31, 2026.
The board also approved a nonexclusive easement for Public Service Company of Colorado for utility lines in Block 2 of the Fairmont Resubdivision. During the meeting, commissioners said the easement is on the fairgrounds.
Commissioners postponed until July 7 a talent-buyer agreement between the Logan County Fair and Lakefront Entertainment. A same-day work-session summary said pricing and remission paperwork had not been finalized.
